Before you start
- You need an owner or admin role in the Marqab workspace.
- Map a source to a product after you connect. Unmapped repos and projects are ignored.
- A new connection or mapping backfills the last 90 days.
- Webhook secrets are shown once. Rotate only if you can update the provider the same day.
GitHub
Merged pull requests and published releases become activity, digests and release notes.
Setup
- Settings → Integrations → GitHub. Owners and admins only.
- Choose Install GitHub App and pick the organisation or repositories.
- Map each repository (owner/repo) to a product.
- Marqab backfills the last 90 days of merged PRs. New merges and releases arrive as they happen.
Otherwise. GitHub Enterprise, or if the App button is missing: paste a personal token, set the API URL if needed, and add a webhook for pull requests and releases.
GitLab
Merged merge requests, releases and tag pushes feed the same activity and release notes.
Setup
- Settings → Integrations → GitLab.
- Choose Connect with GitLab and authorise Marqab on gitlab.com.
- Map each project to a product. Marqab registers the project webhook for you.
- The last 90 days of merged MRs are backfilled.
Otherwise. Self-hosted GitLab, or if Connect is missing: paste a personal token, set the base URL, map projects, and add a project webhook.
Jira
Issues that move to Done become closed tickets. Open issues can show on the product page.
Setup
- Settings → Integrations → Jira.
- Enter the site URL, Atlassian email, and an API token.
- Map each project key to a product.
- Add the webhook Marqab shows (Issue updated).
Otherwise. If the Marqab Forge app is installed, also paste the Cloud ID and add the Marqab product field to the screen.
Sentry
New and regressed issues, plus resolutions, land on the product. Open issues can be listed live.
Setup
- Settings → Integrations → Sentry. Install the Marqab app if shown, or connect an internal integration.
- For an internal integration: grant Project, Issue & Event, and Organization Read. Enable the issue webhook.
- Paste the token and Client Secret. Set the org slug.
- Map each Sentry project slug to a product or a component.
Otherwise. Internal integrations use the per-workspace webhook URL Marqab shows.
Slack
Marqab posts release summaries and a Monday digest to a channel you choose. Nothing is pulled in.
Setup
- Install the Marqab Slack app and copy the Bot User OAuth Token.
- Settings → Integrations → Slack: paste the token and a channel (for example #releases).
- Optionally set the Slack workspace so owner “open in Slack” buttons work.
- Test connection. Releases post as they ship; the digest runs Mondays at 09:00 UTC.
Otherwise. An Incoming Webhook URL still works if you don’t want a bot token.
